Anu's More Personal Bio and Background Detail

Hello! I’m  Anu Peter. Anu is a name that was powerfully “reminded” to me during my early years of ongoing work in sacred ceremonies. It’s a rather long story that I’d be happy to share with you sometime. Peter is the name my parents gave me. 

EARLY DAYS

I am a queer, cisgender, white male (he/him) on my own quiet, personal, spiritual-multidimensional path. My earliest memory of being on this spiritual-multidimensional path is when I was just four or five years old, often having out-of-body experiences and regular conversations with a loving, benevolent guiding force energy (“God?”). Even at that young age, I would ask and reflect on three big questions: “Where was I before I was born?” “Why am I here?” “Where will I go when I die?” Those questions set the stage for my very own, unique life odyssey of exploration, self realization, personal transformation, and spiritual-multidimensional pursuit that is, of course, still unfolding and always deepening and expanding to this day. It never ends! What a gift we have been given – the gift of infinite possibilities and ongoing expansion. An often challenging gift, but nonetheless a gift. 

HEALING, SHAMANIC PRACTICES, AND CURANDERISMO

As a wellness facilitator, I am an ordained sacred ceremony minister, a shamanic practitioner, an energy healer, a breathwork practitioner, and a certified somatic integration guide. I first worked in sacred ceremonies in 2007 in the Peruvian Amazon outside of Puerto Maldonado along the Rio Madre de Dios. Thereafter, I continued my personal ceremonial work in California, and the remarkable brilliance and unparalleled transformational nature of sacred ceremonial work led me on a clear path to begin training in 2017 to become a sacred ceremony minister. I apprenticed with Rae of Light Ministries (ROLM) for about three years, and then served as a sacred ceremony minister for ROLM from 2020 to 2023.

In 2021, I studied curanderismo and vegetalista practices with the indigenous Shipibo-Konibo people in the Peruvian Amazon jungle outside of Iquitos. That same year, I also trained in somatic integration with Atira Tan of Peru's AYA Healing Retreats (AHR) and subsequently became a certified somatic integration guide for AHR in 2022. Starting in early 2024, I facilitated sacred ceremonies as a minister with the Sanctuary of Universal Love & Service in Washington State, and then began working as a solo practitioner in mid 2024 in what has now become Hummingbird Circle.

AN ECLECTIC BACKGROUND OF FOCUS IN HUMAN POTENTIAL & SPIRITUALITY

My background includes a wide range of experiences, study, and training in the realms of wellness, spirituality, and personal transformation. I have studied at the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) and The Foundation for Shamanic Studies. As a breathwork practitioner, I completed the full, comprehensive, five-week training in Clarity Breathwork in early 2020 and have been offering breathwork in-person and online to individuals and groups since then. As an energy healer, I became an Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki Master and Teacher in 2017 and have also trained in InterGalactics Healing and Vortex Divine Energy Healing. And, my work as a conduit for energy healing and energetic attunement is always evolving with the rich, multidimensional influences of my ongoing work in Diamond Heart Meditation Circles. I have also studied and trained in Ancestral Lineage Healing with Daniel Foor, sound healing (at The Globe Institute), dream work (at CIIS), out-of-body experiences (at the Monroe Institute and the International Academy of Consciousness), Yoga of the Voice (with Silvia Nakkach), mediumship, and channeling. In the realm of realized intuitive gifts (which I believe it's important to note that everyone has access to within themselves), my work in all of the above and everything on this page has greatly enhanced my abilities of claircognizance, clairaudience, clairsentience, and clairvoyance, and these continue to deepen in my ongoing work.

In the realms of human potential and spiritual awakening, I've been very grateful and privileged to have opportunities to study with Christopher Bache, Neale Donald Walsch, Jean Houston, Dr. Joe Dispenza, Christian de la Huerta, Hunter Flournoy, Adyashanti, Spirit Rock Meditation Center, Landmark Education, Self Realization Fellowship, the Mankind Project, Authentic Relating, and Radical Aliveness. Luminaries whose work have been prominent on my path include Paramahansa Yogananda, Ramana Maharshi, Eckhart Tolle, Pema Chödrön, Ram Dass, Gangaji, Byron Katie, Michael Newton, Seth, and Abraham-Hicks. 

A LIFE IN ALL FORMS OF THE ARTS, DIVINE AND OTHERWISE

While my quiet spiritual-multidimensional path has always been present, prior to stepping fully into being an "agent of transformation," much of my professional background has been focused in the performing and visual arts as a singer and actor (in Broadway productions such as Les Misérables and numerous productions throughout the USA and Canada), a teaching artist at performing arts conservatories and privately, and as a creative director, art director, graphic designer, and writer.

In February of 2025, I launched the Soul Unique Podcast, which truly makes my heart sing! Soul Unique is based on an inspiration I received in a deep meditation in 2007 to assist people in uncovering, nurturing, forging, and navigating their own personal spiritual path.
